The pur pose of this stud y is to examine the process of developing criteria forassessing creative thinking and , through the medium of art activities, to construct a testofcreative thinking or an instrument for physical , emotional and social development.Construction of the test, which is intended to assess the development of creative thinking skills in fill types of peo ple, is divided into five stages. Stage 1 is pre paring andad ministering the test, and determining criteria for assigning points; stages and 2 and 3 are revising the test and the criteria for assigning points, and improving activities; stages 4 and 5 are assessing the reliability of the test instrument and the criteria for assigning points. The stud y' s target group consists of both disabled and non-disabled persons. The disabled persons, who include the hearing, the vision, the motor and the intellectuallyimpaired, are selected on the basis of their type of impairment, their gender, the institution and the region of the country. The Torrance Test of Creative Thinking Figural Form A, created by Dr. E.Paul Torrance, served as a model for the construction of the test of creative thinking, which divides creative thinking into four elements: originality, flexibilit y, fluency andelaboration. The test, which also takes into consideration the type of subject testedand the subject' s IQ, consists of two parts. Part 1 tests creative thinking throughpictures, and Part 2 tests tactile imagination. Data collection and analysis began in 1999, the year in which the first Art forAll camp was held . The camp affords disabled and non-disabled youth the opportunit yto create art and share in a range of enjoyable activities that develop their creativethinking skills and promote an atmosphere of mutual caring and support. Findingsshow that young peo ple who partici pate in the Art for All project become more skilledat creating art and develop greater moral and ethical awareness. Research into the construction of a test of creative thinking, therefore, representsa new approach to search creative thinking capabilities. By identifying the special giftswithin each individual, it also contributes to the development of the country's humanresources in the future.
